A while ago I got an email from an editor with the Dutch magazine called ‘Flow’..a real beautiful kind of magazine. The editor who contacted me was interested in knowing if I would like to be featured in the Etsy courant they planned to create in the June issue of Flow magazine this year. Well YEAH!!!! Off course I would like to be in their magazine!! I jumped up and down from joy, this could well become my first very much desired editorial....and in such a super cool magazine on top of that!
After two months or so, just before the magazine was due to come out, she contacted me again to tell me her boss editor had chosen others and not me to be featured...and that she was sorry...
Well, so was I...Hopefully my first editorial isn’t far away...
Today I bought the magazine because I was so curious who they had picked..and there on page one was my dear Etsy friend Nina, with her beautiful Etsy shop, Nina In Vorm

I know the feeling: a similar story happened to me but with a Tv show using some Etsy handmade items .... So disappointing! I like Nina's work but i love yours more

Oh, je weet in elk geval al meer dan ik... Ik heb het nog niet gezien. Maar wat suf zeg, ik kan me voorstellen dat je baalde... Is nooit leuk om voor iets gevraagd te worden en er in je hoofd al een beetje op te rekenen, en dat het dan op het allerlaatst toch niet door gaat. Wat lief van je om het hier toch te posten! Ik moet zelf maar gauw een flow gaan scoren, al hoop ik dat ze er eentje sturen.
En ze weten niet wat ze missen zeg, je shop ziet er op dit moment echt zo mooi uit! (en dat bewijst ook mijn recente aankoop van je prachtige kaarten)

I am sorry that you didn't get picked. I love your work it's so unique and colorful.
The same thing happened to back in March. I was asked to send a photo and description in about one of the items in my shop. I found out a couple days later that they had picked another piece. I was crushed, because like you I was doing a happy dance when I was asked.
I am sure you will be asked again, your work is so fabulous.
